North Beach recorded their fourth win of the season last Saturday with a win over the reigning premiers Trinity Aquinas. North Beach led at every break but it was their second quarter efforts which allowed them to take the four points. North Beach kicked seven goals straight in the second quarter with Trinity Aquinas only managing seven behinds to leave them trailing by 38 points at half time. North Beach are now sitting in third position on the ladder by percentage over Trinity Aquinas who are in fourth.
West Coast led at every break but unfortunately couldn’t hold on to their lead as University managed an eleven-point victory. West Coast are now sitting 0-5 while University are unbeaten this season.
Scarborough, Kalamunda and Curtin Uni Wesley were the other winners in Round 5.
Swan Athletic recorded a 122 point win over Kelmscott at Fawell Park pushing them into fifth position on the ladder.
North Fremantle also won convincingly over Stirling by 85 points. Stirling are sitting in ninth position with just the one win this season.
Kingsway secured their fourth win of the year with a 30 point victory over Mt Lawley at Kingsway Reserve.
Third placed Wanneroo and fourth placed Hamersley Carine also had wins over Collegians and Maddington to hold on to their top four positons.
Ballajura suffered their first loss of the season with a 23-point defeat at the hands of Noranda. Noranda move into fifth position while Ballajura slip into second by percentage.
New ladder leaders Kingsley recorded a 51-point win over Thornlie to give them their fourth victory for the season.
Carlisle beat Melville by 25 points to get their first win for 2017. Carlisle sit in eighth positon with 1 win, 1 draw and 3 losses this year.
Willetton and Quinn’s Districts were the other winners this week.
Ladder leaders Gosnells had a massive win over bottom of the ladder High Wycombe by 231 points.
Canning Vale also had a huge win over Ocean Ridge by 78 points while Lynwood Ferndale managed a 57-point win over Swan Valley.
Nollamara had a close game but couldn’t take the victory with a 5-point loss to Canning South Perth while Warnbro Swans also had a close game beating Bassendean by just four points.
Ellenbrook sit one game clear on top of the ladder after they beat Coolbinia West Perth by 16 points.
SNESA had an upset win over third placed Dianella Morley by 33 points.
Cottesloe remain in second positon with a 14-point win over the struggling Brentwood Booragoon who have only won one match this season.
Mosman Park and Piara Waters were the other winners this week.
Cockburn Lakes are on the winners list this season after they recorded their first win for 2017. The win over Armadale by 47 points places them in eighth position.
First placed Secret Harbour played tenth placed Bayswater with Secret Harbour winning easily by 124 points.
Cockburn Cobras and Kwinana both had wins to secure themselves in second and third place respectively.
Rossmoyne was the other winner this week beating Jandakot by 31 points.
University are still unbeaten in 2017 sitting 5-0 with a handy percentage.
North Fremantle are also unbeaten in D2 and added a handy percentage with a 106-point victory over Kingsley in round 5.
In D2 Reserves Mt Lawley kicked 31.17 (203) to Whitford 0.0 to gain a handy percentage. Mt Lawley are undefeated and sitting in top position by one match. Despite this huge win second placed North Fremantle still have a higher percentage than Mt Lawley.
