The Curtin University Wesley Football Club held it's 7th Annual Pink Tiger Day on Saturday, 13th May at South Oval.
The event in support of The McGrath Foundation raised $40,000 which takes the total over seven years to more than $230,000 raised.
Pink Tiger Day continues to be the largest fundraiser for The McGrath Foundation by any community sports club, Australia wide.
The A Grade team wear specially designed pink jumpers for their match as spectators enjoy food, drinks, entertainment and a fundraising auction in Ladies and Men’s marquees.
This year the club was fortunate to have Tracy Bevan founder of The McGrath Foundation join them for the day. Tracy, who flew over from Sydney especially for the event, spoke to the crowd about breast cancer awareness, the formative years of the Foundation and the ongoing achievements of this incredible organisation. They are currently funding the services of 113 full time breast care nurses across Australia, with a target to more than double this in the coming years.
