On Saturday 12 August forty-eight players from the WAAFL Integrated Football program competed in a Curtain Raiser at Domain Stadium.

The two teams ‘WAAFL Integrated’ and ‘Integrated All Stars’ were assembled from the seven teams in the WAAFL Integrated program as well as players from the newly formed Willetton Integrated Team.

The annual Curtain Raiser aims to showcase the Integrated Football program to a wider audience.

Despite the weather forecast the rain stayed away for the duration of the match allowing both teams to get scores on the board.

With the West Coast Eagles v Carlton match to follow the players were treated with appearances from Sam Mitchell as he warmed up along the boundary as well as various Carlton players who came out early for a look.

The Integrated All Stars kicked away in the final quarter to run out 19-point winners.
